Chargeman (Grade A4 )

About the role

We are looking for a qualified Chargeman – Grade A4 to our team. You will be responsible for operating and maintaining the factory’s low-voltage electrical systems to ensure a safe and reliable power supply for daily operations.

What you’ll be doing

• Operate, monitor and maintain low-voltage (LV) electrical supply and distribution systems below 1,000V, within the authorized scope of competency.

• Carry out routine inspections, preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical equipment and systems.

• Monitor and record electrical load, voltage, current, power factor and equipment operating conditions.

• Perform LV switching, electrical isolation and restoration of supply in accordance with approved procedures and safety requirements.

• Respond promptly to electrical breakdowns, power trips, faults and emergencies.

• Coordinate with maintenance, engineering and production teams during repairs and restoration of supply.

• Maintain accurate electrical logbooks, inspection records, switching records and maintenance reports.

• Ensure compliance with applicable Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST) requirements and company safety standards.

• Report equipment defects, abnormal electrical conditions and safety hazards, and support inspections and testing within the authorized scope of competency.

What we're looking for

• Possess a Chargeman Competency Certificate – Grade A4 issued by Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST), with valid ST registration.

• Relevant hands-on experience in operating and maintaining LV electrical installations, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

• Familiar with LV switchgear, main switchboards, distribution boards, circuit breakers and protection devices.

• Good knowledge of electrical switching, isolation, lockout/tagout (LOTO) and electrical safety procedures.

• Able to carry out preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and fault diagnosis.

• Responsible, disciplined, safety-conscious and able to work independently.

• Willing to work shifts and attend standby duties or emergency call-outs when required.

• Good communication skills and able to work effectively with maintenance, engineering and production teams.
