Finance Specialist

Ferrotec Thermoelectric Technology (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd is currently seeking a dedicated and capable individual to join our team as a Finance Specialist.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle daily financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger and bank transactions.

• Prepare monthly financial reports, management reports and financial statements.

• Perform month-end closing and account reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of financial records.

• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, cash flow monitoring and financial analysis.

• Monitor expenses and support cost control activities.

• Ensure timely processing of invoices, payments, journal entries and other financial transactions.

• Liaise with internal departments, Chinese stakeholders, external auditors, tax agents and banks on finance-related matters.

• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax regulations and company financial policies.

• Maintain proper documentation and filing of financial records.

• Perform other finance-related duties as assigned by management.

Job Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.

• Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience in finance or accounting.

• Experience in financial reporting, general ledger, account reconciliation and month-end closing.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel.

• Good verbal and written communication skills to support effective communication with stakeholders based in China.

• Strong analytical, numerical and problem-solving skills.

• Detail-oriented, well-organized and able to work independently.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to meet deadlines and work effectively under pressure.

• Experience in the manufacturing industry is an added advantage.

• Professional accounting qualifications such as ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent are an added advantage.
