About the role

As an Operations Associate Manager, you will be responsible for handling operations management and administration functions across mall operations, including safety, security, sustainability, and facility management.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Operations Manager or General Manager in communicating and aligning the strategic direction and objectives of the Operations Department

• Assist in the day-to-day management and administration of operations related functions and processes for specific mall building assignments

• Conduct daily mall inspections (opening, mid-shift, and closing) to ensure compliance of merchants, customers, and sub-units with established mall operating systems and procedures

• Assist in the implementation of cost savings initiatives and sustainability projects to reduce Direct Operating Expenses (DOEs)

• Document and analyse statistical data and reports to identify causes of operations-related problems and develop recommendations for improvement of policies and processes

• Identify, document, and communicate to Management any Health & Safety risks related to the Mall building that may affect employees, merchants, contractors, mall patrons and the general public

• Assist in maintaining high-quality property standards through daily checks and periodic preventive maintenance including cleanliness, AC level, lighting, assets and equipment, and security control for mall premises including parking, service areas, toilets, and other common areas

• Handle all conflicts and dispute situations amongst merchants, customers, and mall visitors with help of security in a smooth manner avoiding any disruption to mall operations

• Prepare and submit reports including Summary of Daily Operations Inspection and Monitoring, Summary of Cost Savings initiatives and projects, and KRA setting and monitoring for Operations Staff

• Perform other management mandated functions

About you

• Graduate of BS Business Administration, Engineering or any business/technical related course

• Minimum of four (4) years related work experience in Operations Management in retail and property management industries

• Proficient in the use of MS Office applications specifically MS Word, Powerpoint, MS Excel, and MS Visio as well as other specialized software like SAP or Oracle

• Above Average level of oral and written communication skills including negotiation, presentation, facilitation, and training at all levels of the organization

• Average level of project management, planning, people management, and leadership

• Average level of understanding of the mutual interconnection of financial and business of the organization
