Junior Insurance Lawyer

About the role

Working predominantly on Compulsory Third Party (CTP) and motor injury claims. The firm is open to candidates across all experience levels, from recently admitted lawyers through to experienced practitioners. Previous motor injury experience, gained on either the plaintiff or defendant side would be good but is not essential.

Key responsibilities

• Managing or assisting with insurance files

• Drafting legal advice, pleadings, affidavits and other court documents

• Undertaking legal research and analysis

• Liaising with clients, counsel, experts and witnesses

• Attending court hearings

• Contributing to pro bono matters and community legal initiatives

About you

• Admission as a legal practitioner in Western Australia

• Experience in, or an interest in developing your career within, insurance and motor injury law

• Strong attention to detail, accuracy and drafting skills

• A collaborative approach and a willingness to learn

• Strong communication and client relationship skills

• For junior lawyers, a strong academic record with a weighted average of High Credit or above across law units
